Peachtree Protective Covers, the premier manufacturer of extruded aluminum walkway covers, canopies, sun control devices and exterior metal wall panel systems in the Southeast, is currently seeking a Welder to join our team. We are looking for somebody who has experience in welding aluminum (TIG and MIG). No certifications needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prep material for welding
• Follow welding instructions from drawings
• Assemble structure and check measurements for accuracy
• Be able to learn how to prep welding machines
• Must be able to read and understand drawings
• Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed
• Assure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Work as part of the team
• Follow all company rules and policies
• Follow all safety rules and requirements
• Must have strong attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Aluminum welding experience (TIG and MIG)
• Operate any equipment needed to compete job
• Reliable transportation to arrive at work on time
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed

We are seeking a candidate with experience in construction as an Estimator, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or similar role. Peachtree utilizes electronic estimating software, customized spreadsheets and scope specific proposal templates to generate accurate and detailed estimates for each project.

Responsibilities:

• Review complete sets of bid documents for prospective projects to bid
• Formulate detailed take-offs and material pricing using estimating models
• Prepare project specific cost proposals outlining the scope of work and key qualifications
• Meetings with general contractors to review proposed scope of work and pricing
• Obtain feedback from general contractors to determine bid success and current market conditions
• Communicate with Peachtree’s Project Managers on awarded projects

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of construction and/or estimating experience is preferred
• General knowledge of how to navigate plans and specifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred – or equivalent work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Possess strong time management and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook – Microsoft Access experience a plus

We are seeking a candidate with 2 to 4 years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, or Assistant Project Manager.  We are looking for candidates that have strong communication and leadership skills, an emphasis on planning and scheduling, as well as a team first approach.

The Following Skills, Traits and Credentials are a plus:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
• Prior experience with pre-engineered structures, exterior metal wall panels or cladding (ACM, Metal Wall Panels, Centria or similar products) or experience with a commercial glass and glazing subcontractor
• Good understanding of Exterior façade systems – as well as proper waterproofing techniques
• Strong understating and ability to review construction documents and drawings
• Experience with Microsoft Office suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access), MS Project (or other scheduling software) are needed. Experience with AutoCAD a plus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred – or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of construction management experience preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing and construction processes
• Ability to read and understand bid documents
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to look at a particular problem and creatively think of ways to correct that problem and then swiftly implement the solution
• The ability to work on your own or as a team member and follow a project from initial concept through implementation
• Be able to effectively communicate with Suppliers, Installers, General Contractor and Architects
• Possess strong problem solving skills

Responsibilities:

• • • Read and understand contract documents and blueprints
    • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and application of general drafting techniques, 3D skills a plus
    • Creation of approval drawings and field use drawings
    • Excel skills for entering parts and materials information
    • Creation of fabrication drawings and component part details
    • Communicate with General Contractors, Installers, and Project Managers about the project

Qualifications:
