New Chamblee Charter High School
About Project
The new Chamblee Charter High School consists of a 4-story classroom building and a 2-story gymnasium that services the needs of roughly 1,550 students. In addition to classrooms, the academic spaces include a media center and laboratories for science and technology. A new cafeteria and kitchen work added as well. Both the classroom and gymnasium buildings are structures constructed from steel, pre-cast and storefront with brick and stucco facades that are accented with metal wall and soffit panel.

The front entrance to classroom building has a monumental canopy clad in ACM panel. Metal wall, ACM and soffit panels serve to accent the walls, the parapet and the full-building-height columns at the academic and gymnasium buildings. A multi-story walkway between the classroom and gymnasium features both soffit and ACM panels and the rear of the academic building has large vertical sunshade fins clad in ACM.
