Peachtree Protective Covers Christmas Party

Family has always been a top priority at Peachtree Protective Covers, and there’s no time that this is more evident than at Christmas. A tradition that began the very first year that Peachtree Protective Covers was in existence is the annual Christmas party. That first year, the party was a small affair held at the home of co-founder Ron Lee. There was food and games and presents. It was a celebration that brought everyone together outside of the work environment, and forged bonds that have lasted to this very day.

This year’s festivities took place at Stars and Strikes, a family oriented entertainment complex boasting a huge variety of fun and games for the 180 adults and 80 children who attended, The party kicked off with a period of time where folks could play carnival type games for a chance to win points redeemable for all sorts of fun prizes. There were old school games like air hockey and skeeball, and there were high-tech video simulator games that pitted family members or co-workers against one another in friendly competition. For the more adventurous types, there was the Laser Tag Arena or the Laser Maze. There was even a bumper car arena. For the more laid back, there was unlimited bowling. All of these activities were available for the entire evening, so there was no shortage of fun. Santa and Mrs. Claus could even be seen mingling with the families, and rooting on the children as they played. Then the families gathered in a room full of presents that Santa passed out. Each recipient got a picture taken on Santa’s lap, and the smiles on the kid’s faces made it clear that they had received something from Santa that they would treasure. After Santa was through, it was the older folk’s turn, as drawings were held for several door prizes.

It’s safe to say that most everyone in attendance had a great time, though some folks may have overestimated their bowling stamina, and probably had some sore muscles the next day. There were a lot of happy faces, and lots of tired kids. All in all it was a great way to celebrate Christmas, family, and the completion of another successful year.
